Soul Maintenance

By

Blessings beloveds,

Today was another beautiful day. Beautiful because I refused to allow my joy to be interrupted by anything, and I do mean anything! The gym was great, making the wife’s breakfast and preparing for work went absolutely rhythmic. I had one break in routine; decided to fore go reading the news today–yes! I decided that today my soul needed a rest, a period of maintenance in a world filled with rough and rugged roads. Think of it as a day to take the soul in for a 70,000 tune-up.

Today I pledged to smile as much as I could, share love no matter what, and let God manifest his love in me. Now don’t get me wrong, there were many opportunities that presented themselves to unravel my peace, but I refused to be moved. As part of the confirmation for my need for maintenance was the fact in my lunch-time study session we looked in Nehemiah chapter 1 and 2 which deal with the rebuilding of the Holy city; which is exactly what I was setting out to do today, rebuild my internal city.

A few other things that I got to slip in today:
– Read a wonderful interview of my good friend and sister, Tantra-Zawadi which was being facilitated by another friend and poet, Cendrine. You can check out her lovely site and the interview at http://www.soulpoetrysite.com
– listened to a poem by Anis Mojganis titled “Come Closer/I Am Here” a double poem featured on Indie Feed. A phenomenal performance!!!
– I topped my day with the soul turning sounds of Lisa McClendon which really helped me along with my tune-ups.
– finished up on some artwork for the new album that is set to release next month “The Messenger”, I’m excited!
– Also got to finish up an interview that I had been meaning to close up for a week now, so I look forward to the publishing of that soon (will keep you posted no doubt).

Well, I am getting ready to get my rest, but I end the day knowing that my soul has been re-tuned and ready for more of the journey ahead, but I am fortified in knowing that I can enjoy a beautiful day anytime I want if I would just unplug, open my eyes, and let God’s love manifest in me. In the words of both Lisa (Singer) and Anis (Poet) respectively “I Know Now…I Am Here!”

Peace and Love,
