Today was one of those not so normal days in many ways that could only be explained if you found yourself waking up as me…fat chance I know!
Well, it all began as usual at 4:30am (Hawaii), the air was still, but my thoughts where firing off all kinds of events of the day and critical thinking points; all this and I haven’t splashed my face with water yet. After the morning rituals I began to check BlackBerry emails, read the news, and check facebook (fb) for some interesting dialog that I am sure someone is gonna get me going…and without failure we got a winner! After a few meaningful poetry commentaries (poems I was tagged on), I turned my attention to a status that was posted on my wall by one of my connections on fb by the name of Harrell who posted a very thought invoking statement about poetry and spoken word (see my wall at facebook) which allowed for me to process some ruminations I’ve discovered in my quest of art and understanding of the human development through observances. This was a good dialog in my opinion, so I hope you check it out when you get the chance. So the day moves forward to a point where I had to engage on matters dealing with Haiti and humanitarian efforts which has been a spirit twisting experience in itself. But all the while I was looking forward to my daily recharge at “God Break”. 11am came at such a slow pace, but I was happy nonetheless. Today I brought a young Haitian man who has been in a dark and conflicting place about his family back in Haiti. We spent a few minutes praying and talking before we got involved with our normal course of study for the day. Today we are looking into Ezekiel 12:21-28 discussing “Delayed Consequences” and God’s merciful ways…awesome session. So as I end the day, I think on the things we hold as most important to us and ask “…at what value do we hold ourselves, our contributions to each other, and the joys we are allowing others to destroy in us?”.. At some point we have to know that there exist consequences for the good and bad things we allow to happen and the ones we commit ourselves. No longer shall we prostitute ourselves for the vanity of men, but commit ourselves for the will and mission the Divine has in store for us. ~Tshombe“Be blessed with continued success, keep moving for stagnation is it’s killer~Tshombe” Sent from my BlackBerry.
