Testimony 02.11.10

Blessings and love divine,

Let me start by saying that I am switching my blog to a more simpler publishing source. So welcome to my testimonies.

Today started with a smile as I shuffled my half awaken body to the kitchen to fix my wife’s breakfast of fresh strawberries and banana shake.  I was greeted with a love smile that started the day on its rightful course.  After searching my usual social networks for those I would include in prayer; I prepared and delivered my supplications.  Reminded by my last actions from last night in the studio; I was truly inspired.  In the lab (studio) I started work on a new track that sparked this wonderful creative idea for a whole new project I now dub as “Subsurface”.  I thank G-d for his wonderful inspirations; however, I have to be careful not to take away from my upcoming releases of “The Messenger” project.  Oh the joys of being independent, I only say this after reading about soul singer Jill Scott’s contractial issues with record label Hidden Beach.

Anyways, later in the day I pondered about a note that I left in my pocket from yesterday (a new thing I am trying with “lesson or thought” notes) that I jotted during a conversation with poet/friend Mina Holladay on love where she says “…everyone is entitled equally to love.”  A powerful enough statement to carry around, so everytime I reach into my pocket I am reminded of such an affirmation.

Today my focus is more on refining love and using every available source to help me grow, even from those who love me the least; I appreciate what they do contribute.  Because when I am at my lowest point I can use it.  In a love letter I read today by author/poet Renée Michele taken from her new book “Enamored: The Love Letters”; Renée says “…love is the ultimate surrender.  It means to be dispossessed from your hiding place.”  I happen to agree with her on this logic of being removed from the comfotable place of being closed to the outside of ourselves. Love is a renewable energy so why not free ourselves of the cumbersome burdens of hoarding and rationing of such power?!

Love no matter what and see how free you can be, I dare you…leap!

In love and the wholeness of peace,

Tshombe
