Kicked my day off at 4am in the gym checking out an excellent interview of She Sevenly conducted by Truitt O’neal of “True Poetics“. The highlight of the interview for me was her approach on the art of spoken word, the development of children, and setting the example and how she uses them as inspirations to write. I really love the piece she recites “Falling Leaves” which speaks to her responsibility as an educator in the public school system; using poetry to reach her students.

She also mentions her new CD “Randomly Me” which sounds absolutely exciting.

At work and feeling great, checked a few emails, etc, etc.
11am hits and it is now prayer time with my daily devotional group…I need this! It was such a rejuvenation to have peace in the word. We read and studied Luke 12:1-13

I took some time to listen to last night’s interview and I made some serious notes from the content and also from the caller who spoke up for eroticism in art. Overall it was a really good show.   Thanks to Eryk Moore and his co-host Nile for a wonderful atmosphere…check it out here
