I used to love .her

By

back in the day we were in .love

we swore to each other despite

the constant betrayal

you’ve held our sons—our daughter too

in your filthy-cold mud .womb

Hiding from daylight

your emptiness of .promises

Somehow holds my attention

in the swamp of your .uterus

Bruised blue and white flames—red

a blood moon showing its .truth

Many loved you—their .pictures

on walls in shame—alimony

for our .children who died as ancestors

at least they got .away
