In January, I set a quiet but resolute intention: to publish again. After my last book in 2017, the call to write had never left me—it simply waited for the right season. This year, I honored that call and published not one, but three books. Each one a testament to balance, discipline, and the creative fire that refuses to dim.
I also made the decision to retire from military service in 2026, closing a chapter that has spanned over thirty years. It’s been a sacred duty—one rooted in the desire to uplift, to empower, and to improve the lives of those who trusted me to lead with integrity. That mission has always been about more than strategy; it’s been about people, purpose, and presence.
We secured our retirement home—a place of rest, reflection, and renewal. A space to grow into the next version of ourselves.
And through it all—amid the noise and uncertainty of the world—we held fast to our center. We maintained our sanity, our love, and our authenticity.
As we embark on the new year, let us continue to extend our hands to one another with open hearts. May we prioritize courage over comfort, truth over ease, and love above all else. I earnestly hope that you find all the peace and resolution you desire in the upcoming seasons.
Here’s to 2026—may it be a year of deeper connection, brighter light, and enduring grace.
season bows its head—
matcha’s steam and memory,
sakura still waits.
In grace and love,
