No one truly believes in war, but rather, we all believe in the principalities of freedom, justice, dignity, free-choice, self-preservation; and yes, even peace; these are the causalities we accept as purpose, the reasons we accept the consequences of conflict. What makes us monsters, if we ever are viewed as such, is when we are blinded by the principles and ignore the truth.  To infer that anyone could believe in war implies that it is a god, or some form of higher morality; we can’t say in the same breath “I believe in G-d as well as war” unless we are saying that G-d is war itself: this is enough to cause postulation into whom’s image we were created in.
