Because I think that poetry and music are joined at the hip: where one influences the other; it is quite possible to assume that when one changes so does the other. What I am aiming at is the fact that music has indeed changed in the way it feels and sounds; so has the poetry in almost equal respects. There is certainly a catharsis and an attempt to be artful, but somehow it is losing that inspirational causality that was ever-so present in previous generations. I firmly believe that if the focus of expressionism was more on the artfulness and the causality as opposed to the potential fiscality of it all, we would see and feel better art in general.
My thoughts on both music and poetry in the 21st century. —Tshombe Sekou
