Fortresses (poems)

By

While we play
with these words
same as children
full of wild ideas
and Lego sets
what we convey
through this verbal alchemy
are real experiences constructed
in fantastic castles
with high walls
fortresses we call poems
our childlike imagination
all grown up
facing reality…

Very nice. Here’s a Haiku flowing from your verse, thanks for the morning exercise.

    Words are all we have
Flowing in waves from our hearts
    Bridge over the gulf

To offer a verse from a verse is one of the greatest of compliments, and your Haiku is as profound as the compliment itself…thank you!

    Various constructions
Spring from common pool of life
    A city of love

Peace and blessings – not mine to give but mine to pass on,
    Eric
