if we could be as infants

who understand and feel

the power of love absent

articulation and manipulation

we might be better people.

Words like love can heal and build,

yet in the same power hurt and destroy.

What I feel in my spirit,

in connection to you,

certainly it is much deeper than lingual articulation;

though “love” mundanely describes this force,

it is but a facade.
