Thought and taste change with time, as does the appetite for wisdom to ignorance which shifts as rapid as the ocean tides. Like anything in life, the further into the stream we travel, the comparison of the ages of wisdom will measure in deference; it is just the wisdom of that age in comparison to the same in ignorance.  What was ignorance then could very well be the foundation of wisdom now, and so on into the future. 

Each level of complexity is diluted to survive its age to avoid riddance, the burden of brilliance in the wrong age, for what good is wisdom in an age that pacifies mediocre noetic development. Wisdom is forced to adapt to its environment or else suffer the cruelty of relegation.  Suffice it to say that wisdom is but a measure above the current age of ignorance.
