open windows to accept God
in all his wonderfulness and mercy
I run to the rhythm of my own breathing
seeking meaning for my being
a new day
a new experience
a chance for redemption
tried to make connections
no answers so i journeyed on
met a divine soul en route
shared gifts of essence
more valuable than stones
there is no measure in gold
her song was sweet
it was almost hypnagogic the way she sang
the words “one conscious breath can change your life”
don’t and it could mean your death
awakening from jaded dreams
defining what our connection means
is it oneness or individualism
old or new
all things under the sun
i and you
the wisdom of seven ingnites a collection
intellectual exchanges
spiritual sparring
mutual understanding
respect
teachings questioned
unlearn
relearn
reteach
knowledge infinite
a messenger is coming
messenger has come and gone
some return and another shall come
as many as the days of the sun
will you listen to at least one
another spoke of a peace that can only be heard in silence
a shalom that isn’t spoken yet heard
birds were silent and butterflies still
the lady bugs even put away their weaponry for the day
it was almost sabbath like
she even let me recite a few pieces
to contribute to the serenity
giving praises to the one who was before
has come and shall be until eternity
long after the wars
the divisions
religious collisions
i watched as my hair falls to the floor
letting my mind breathe
room to think at ease
interrupted by my consciousness
being groped by strange hands
that reminds me of sins
the need to be cleansed
there is a roll reversal
confused on proper roll
between women and men
what lessons learned i
well it depends
let me breathe consciously
…
…
…
live
